Hyde and Seek

Good Heavens. Its been over a month since I last blogged, or bolgged as some other members of the team would have it. What the devil have I been doing?

Whilst Madame Palm was making a hasty recovery from the nasty fall in February I handed in the last essay of my academic career - a dissertation on Top Gear no less, did a spot of BoardFree promotion in Hyde Park, and been contacted by an array of binties looking for a part in a drama I'm working on (including the boob poppingly wonderful Alicia Douvall and Miss Japan 2003).

Today, I sent off my version of the Hyde Park video to BoardFree HQ so I thought it might be fitting to break my bloggers silence and mention the brilliance of that weekend. I particularly enjoyed meeting rolls rolls chief Pete, Kate (who put us up for the weekend) and the wondrous Holly, the latest addition to the world of BoardFree. The weekend was such a success that we're going back on April 1st to hook up with our old pal Skippy for more adventures.

Do you like what I've done with the title? Very clever isn't it?. 'Seek' refers to the funding I'm asking/begging for to take me around Australia. It refers to the people I'm trying to find to film Dave's trip from John O'groats. And it refers to the event I need to organise to make his night in Falmouth on May 27th worthwhile.

In fact, I've got so much to do that I'm taking a holiday! This time next week I'll be carving up the slopes of the French Alps pulling off all sorts of hainus tricks (cough, cough) and spreading some BoardFree love to Jacques and his buddies. J'aime le fromage!

On the skating front, I've been neglecting my flowery patterned pink longboard of late, partly due to the awful weather, partly due to laziness. And now Holly is giving it a go and I'm certain my inability will only be further illustrated when we meet for a skate-off in April.

The one piece of bad news I heard this month was the decision by Rae and Phil to stay grounded in the UK whilst we head over to OZ. I'm kind of cheesed off about it but perhaps it's for the best what with the wedding to organise.

Anyway, I must leave now to pick up a £350 snowboard. Why they decided to let me hire it I'll never know!

VIVE LA FRANCE!

Dude, if you can pull off some snowboarding footage a la the little piece of cream found at www.boardfree.co.uk/clic.htm then hats off to you. Here's a thought though: you fall off a longboard going at minus 3 miles an hour and damage all kinds of body parts. And now you want to slide down a slippery slope on a similar type of board, but with your feet strapped to it, at pace. Mate...
